Romania  (1998-2000):
Project Manager for the Targu Mures Drinking Water Project,  Romania. Reduction of green house gases via investments for the reduction of energy consumption and efficiency improvement of the water treatment plant of Tirgu Mures, institutional strengthening and training for Aquaserv, public utilities company of the city of Targu Mures.

Romania (1996-1997):
Teamleader and wastewater specialist for the Regional Water and Environment Project for the Jiu Valley Area. The first project phase, completed in August, concerned the preparation of feasibility studies and tender documents for the rehabilitation of the existing water supply, water treatment, sewerage and wastewater treatment systems, as well as the procurement of selected goods. The area covers 6 municipalities with a total population of 180,000 inhabitants. An ongoing second project phase (1997) covers the provision of consultancy support during the procurement cycle of the various tender packages.

Romania (1993):
Project manager for the  Emergency Urban Infrastructure Improvement Program in eight Romanian cities (sectors: water supply, sanitation, solid waste management, roads, public transport, district heating)  and expert for wastewater and solid waste management. Activities: site visits, inventory, diagnosis feasibility and investment programming.

Croatia  (1998-1999):
Project Manager for the Environmental Demonstration Project at the ELEMES Aluminium factory in Sibenik, Croatia. Improved environmental management, demonstration investments at the aluminium surface treatment plant of ELEMES to reduce sea water pollution, institutional strengthening and training to improve compliance and enforcement of Croatian environmental legislation.

Croatia (1996):
Project manager for the Integrated Environment Project - Kastela Bay, Split. The project concerned the review and finalisation of feasibility studies and preparation of designs for four components of the Kastela Bay Project, being improvement of the water supply system for Kastela-Trogir-Split-Solin, wastewater treatment plant for Kastela Trogir, sea outfall for Kastela-Trogir and hydrotechnical tunnel for Split-Solin. The project will be jointly financed by the (EBRD), the World Bank and the Croatian Development Bank.

Bulgaria (1996-1998):
Project Manager for the  preparation of tender documents, technical assistance during the procurement cycle and works supervision for wastewater treatment plants for the cities of Haskovo, Stara Zagora and Dimitrovgrad. Project financed by EU-PHARE. The tender  follows the "Design and Construct" procedure.
